Indo-Persian Antiques & Art from the estate of Lieutenant-General Sir Iven Mackay and other vendors. Mackay was one of Australia's most famous 'citizen soldiers' during the First and Second World Wars.  Mackay was Australia's first High Commissioner to India from 1944 to 1948, working with Louis Mountbatten (Britain's last Viceroy) and Jawaharlal Nehru (India's first Prime Minister).  He was also the first Australian diplomat to visit Nepal in 1947, meeting the Maharaja and Prime Minister.
